Léo Nataf is a French artist born in 1994. During his studies at the Central Saint Martins in London, he developed modes of expression related to materials with fire and steel.
Nataf explains that « it is not the final form that shines but the material itself, it lives, just like we breathe». His travels to Mexico, New-Guinee and the Amazon have influenced his works and his creative process. This can be seen in his incorporating found materials such as volcanic rocks with ceramics, wood, cellular concrete or even moss that he paints.
Since 2018, he is part of the collective « L’Atelier de Paname ». Most recently, Clavé Fine Art and Millenn’Art galleries co-organized his first solo exhibition ‘Taire la matière’. Nataf currently lives and works in Saint Denis.
