SACHA FLOCH POLIAKOFF - THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

“What makes friendships indissoluble and doubles their charm is a feeling that love lacks: certainty.” Honoré de Balzac, Lost Illusions, 1837.

Twenty years of friendship have given birth to Annabelle and Antoine’s desire to present the first solo exhibition of their long-time friend, Sacha Floch Poliakoff

Influenced by the Renaissance and Pop Art, Sacha’s universe, mixing painting and illustrations, is inspired by the archetypes of his Russian and English origins (the imagery of the horse, the legend of Saint George, the tartan). Sacha’s admiration for objects has always fascinated Annabelle and Antoine. She collects them, accumulates them and considers them as talismans.

Each of them has built their own path, without forgetting their family heritage, anchored in Modern Art. Annabelle is part of a desire to initiate and accompany the younger generation in the art market. Antoine founded his own gallery, which highlights modern and contemporary creation in exhibitions that dialogue with the singular architecture of his space. As for Sacha, she has developed a universe, imbued with the influences of her models and her ancestors, which she appropriates through a Pop prism.

“These are a few of my favorite things”, Sacha Floch Poliakoff’s first solo exhibition, is the result of the collaboration between Clavé Fine Art and Millenn’Art. This exhibition runs from January 6 to 28, 2023 and features twenty exclusive works, including series of ink and watercolor drawings, paintings and black and white collages.
